Courageous Fire, LLC is expanding its reach and impact with exciting projects across the Americas. From Panama City to Minnesota and Chicago, the organization is actively working to support Indigenous peoples, improve health and safety in Black communities, and uplift Black women leaders. This update shares key initiatives underway and opportunities to get involved.

Building Courageous Fire, LLC S.A. in Panama
Courageous Fire is establishing its Panama branch, Courageous Fire, LLC S.A., to serve the local community and collaborate on international efforts. One major focus is working alongside the United Nations on projects supporting Indigenous peoples. The current initiative aligns with the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), which addresses the rights and well-being of Indigenous communities worldwide.
This partnership reflects Courageous Fire’s commitment to global social justice and cultural respect. By engaging with the UN, the Panama team contributes to meaningful policy discussions and community programs that honor Indigenous heritage and promote sustainable development.

Advancing Health and Safety in Minnesota’s Black Communities
In Minnesota, Courageous Fire is leading a state-level project focused on improving health and safety for Black and African American communities, particularly in victim services. This initiative addresses critical gaps in support systems and aims to create safer environments for those affected by violence and trauma.
Phase 1 of this project is set to conclude on April 30. More to come when the project wraps this month.
This work highlights Courageous Fire’s dedication to addressing systemic inequities and fostering healing in communities that have historically faced barriers to crime victim services.

Supporting Courageous Access and the National Black Women’s Conference
Courageous Fire, LLC, proudly supports its sister nonprofit, Courageous Access, as they prepare to launch their first national Black Women’s Conference in Chicago, Illinois. This event celebrates Black women’s leadership, creativity, and resilience, offering a platform for networking, learning, and empowerment.
The conference is fully funded through sponsorships and ticket sales. Legacy partnerships are available for Black women-owned organizations in Chicago through April 30. These partnerships provide visibility and support for local businesses and initiatives. For Legacy partnerships, to sponsor your employees' wellness and/or professional development plan with this conference, or to buy individual tickets, visit: bit.ly/cabwc2026
Interested sponsors can invest at three levels: $10,000, $25,000, and $50,000. The top two tiers include an executive-level package that holds space for a Black woman employee or representative from the sponsoring organization to participate fully in the conference. These sponsorship opportunities use the code CF2026. Engage here: bit.ly/CABWCsponsor
Black women living in the U.S. can claim one of the remaining seats for The Homecoming event by April 30. This gathering promises to be a powerful experience of connection with 150 Black women from around the country while getting to know the version of herself she hasn't met yet but always sensed was there.

SAAM 2026
April is SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month). Out of the over 40% of Black women who will experience DV (domestic violence) within our lifetimes, it is also true that 40-60% of Black women report having experienced sexual coercion before the age of 18. That means the women who will need this convening in Chicago that are right there in your community can have higher numbers than you think.
However, with over 600K Black women losing their jobs in 2025, the need for healthcare like this is staggering.
You can help. Now, in SAAM 2026 you can #changethenarrative for Black women in your area by either sponsoring some of them to attend The Homecoming in Chicago or by contributing to the needs of the conference overall through $10K, $25K, or $50 Presenting Sponsorships. Remember that Courageous Access is a 501c3 organization so your sponsorship is tax-deductible.
Let's make the needle move the other way - the good way - during SAAM2026.
