This is where we #ChangeTheNarrative by changing the understanding and mindset of human services students before they enter the workforce by giving them the historical context of harmful caricatures that influence their perception of their Black women clients. We help them reject the false information, give them factual information on the needs of Black women in crisis, and help them prepare to meet those needs while maintaining a safe space for these clients.
